Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush The Big Time Rush, an
American pop boy band was founded in the year 2009. The group consists of
Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They
initially signed to Nick Records in 2009 before switching to Columbia Records.
They appeared in Nickelodeon's telecast show, Big Time Rush. The show aired
from the beginning of November 28, 2009 to July 25 2013. The pilot episode
included "Big Time Rush" the group's first single for promotion. The
group has released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 and
24/Seven , released in 2013. The band went on an indefinite hiatus in the year
2014 that lasted until 2021 when the band resumed live performances and
released their single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big
Time Rush a record contract in 2009 and was simultaneously airing the TV show
Big Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to
create the show and include the original music to the show. For the series,
their debut single, "Big Time Rush" came out on November 29 on the
29th of November. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon in November 2009,
the series was broadcast for the first time in the American market. The single
was then released internationally. It was featured on an introduction to the
series for one hour and is the show's opener. There were promotional singles
released by the series, which included "City is Ours" (with Big Time
Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush covered "Famous"
by Play. The track was released to iTunes on June 29th the 29th of June, 2010.
Another song, "Halfway There", was released to iTunes on April 27,
2010, following its debut on the series. It was their first hit song to chart
on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93 thanks to the sales of digital
music. To celebrate their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I
Forget about You" on September 21, 2010. On the 11th of October, 2010 the
album, dubbed BTR it was released to the public. It debuted at number three on
the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000 copies its first week.
