Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. Born on 11th November 1966. Alison Doody made her feature film debut as a Bond actress with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model and began to take on the role of model. She then developed her career as a commercial model. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamour or nude work. This rule extended into her acting career. She was cast in a minor role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was spotted by the director who cast her. Doody was selected as one of the twelve most promising young actors in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Still only 18 at the time she acted in the role Doody was, and still is one of the smallest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A different early film played a tiny part in the film in a small role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her debut leading part. The episode aired in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn France and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking probably her most high-profile part in her career in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she was later chosen to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. After a long absence from the stage Doody returned to acting and acted in a tiny role in 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an award ceremony scene. She also appeared in 2004 with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. In 2011, she was scheduled to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria the tierra de film prize was awarded to her on November 21 in 2018. In addition, she was awarded a star at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
