Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick was born in Portland,
Maine, to Janice (Cooke), an accountant and William Kendrick, a teacher.
Michael Cooke Kendrick is her older brother, and has also been an actor. Anna
Kendrick is Scottish, Irish and English-born. She received nominations for the
Tony Award (second youngest ever) as well as the Drama Desk Award and the Fany
Award (best actress in the musical). She won the Drama League Award and Theatre
World Award for her performance. She had the pleasure of working alongside choreographer
Scott Ellis, choreographer Susan Stroman and many other celebrity performers in
the New York City Opera House. Anna starred in Camp (2003) and was nominated
for the Broadway Tony Award for Best Actress (Featured role for Musical) for
her role in High Society. Following 1991's Tony award winner Daisy Eagan, she
was the second-youngest nominated. George Clooney ridiculed her at the NYC
Opera House, along with choreographer Susan Stroman. She also appeared in
"Jane Eyre" as well as "The Little Princess" for Broadway.
In 1998, Jason Reitman cast her in Up in the Air. It was following her
performance in Rocket Science (2007). The only actress from the Twilight Saga
to be nominated for an Oscar. In 2010 she was nominated between the second- and
